If we all reach deep into ourselves, we find that we have a strength we didn't know existed within. I'm talking about the strength to endure the misfortune of others!!! And now, people, let's all hold strong as we watch Nightpumper in his "travail."

Here's the new panel demonstrating how Stream of Consciousness Comics is s0-0-0-0 out of touch with what's happening in the Santa Cruz community. We here in SC, are wrapping up fighting the 7000 acre Bonny Doon (it's a town in the mountains)/Lockheed (they have land up there) fire!!!....talk about smoke and devastation! Well, you wouldn't know it looking at the strip's latest entry with our very own Nightpumper battling heavy rain and hail the size of golf balls!...is this a parallax of reality? 'er what? especially since we're in the dog days of summer!

Sammy is concerned, here's what he's thinking:

" I am being neglected by my owner, Sandy. I require more attention than I am getting. I give her unconditional love but she doesn't reciprocate. She's too busy solving Iceland's woes,... that takes up the bulk of her time and what's left over is devoted to cleaning....even her yoga is suffering! I am resentful and bitter. Sure, she feeds me, she feeds me real gourmet cat food, but I need more, and if she doesn't get with it pretty soon I won't have any more unconditional love for her and she's going to have to find it somewhere else!"

I'm sure you've heard about the Australian aborigionies who have nothing better to do than walk around all over the outback for no good reason at all and call it "walkabout"?...some kinda cultural/religious thing they do to as a right of passage or something....I don't know nuthin' about that but what I do know is that Nightpumper is doing a Northern California version of that very same thing!...only with a twist: it's raining!, hell, we're finding out it is now frickin' hailing! and "Pumpy" is feelin' it!, big time!
