As Nightpumper continues on, smiling through the rain, or in this case, the hail.  Actually he isn't smiling, he lashed out against Mother Nature or God if you will.  God is reacting to his anger in kind by unleashing hailstones to beat the band!  Let's check in and see how it is progressing! ....in progress.

Looks like God doesn't cotton to defiance and has blind sided Night Pumper,  we must take responsibility for our actions....when we lash out sometimes it comes back and kicks us on the ass! (or the back of the head in this case).

I dunno what to do to help out Nightpumper anymore.  Right now he seems angry and defiant.  It's like he's blaming Mother Nature for his situation.  Someone should tell him that hail (which is pelting him) in and of itself is neither good nor bad.  If he's hanging a "bad" label on it, well, that's his problem.....not mine!, I'm working behind the scenes to improve his situation but if he's going to do stupid behavior then i might just give up on trying to help him out!

Well, at long last this panel is finished.  It's been such a long time in which Nightpumper is trying desperately to make his way through an hailstorm and metaphorically speaking through a thing called "his life."

I've heard that if you are going to do anything, spend a lot of time thinking up strategy before you leap.  Nightpumper seems to be adopting this philosophy even though time is of the essence here.  "look before you leap" might take second fiddle to "a stitch in time saves nine."

As we progress on this distorted version of a peregrination we realize that it is so distorted it's possible that it has now attained prevertedness!!  How does this happen?  I long for days gone by when Nightpumper was in the setting that he is supposed to be in.  It's almost like a bad acid trip the way it appears right now.  Can Pumpy ever get back to where he belongs?...or will he go even farther into a other worldly abyss of solipsism?

I just don't know what to say anymore!! This whole thing with Nightpumper is getting out of  control!  All we can do is make educated guesses of what is going on.  My guess is  an alien attack is going on at the same time as the hailstorm!  ...but my guess is as good as yours!

What's wrong with this picture??? The elements of the latest story line are in place: Nightpumper making a fast break to get out of the golf ball size hail....but something's out of place. Hmmm.....OH MY GOD! He's out in hillbilly country now!!! How could I make such a mistake! He should be in the west side of Santa Cruz!! Sorry about that, I'll see how I can repair/correct this panel, but first I need to take a nap!!

E ticket ride

I don't know how old you are but if you are a old as I you remnember the E-tickets you got at Disneyland. the E-ticket was the best ticket, you could go on the bobsleds with an e-ticket....I just can't say enough about it! Sure, you had the A thru D tickets that would get you on the Mr. Toads wild ride 'n such but it was the E-ticket that was "da kinde" ...if you know what I mean..So here I am getting all down in the dumps over this divorce thing but you know, I shouldn't, because I've been blessed with the E-ticket of life. If I muck it up by marrying certain people all I can do is blame myself. I bet you have an E-ticket too! I'm taking (yet another) break from cartooning. Had a court hearing and it just puts me in a place where I don't want to do anything until the bad juju wears off...and who knows when that will be?

Nightpumper makes a break for it!! Not only does he have CHI POWER working for him, notice the "M" on his right palm....this means he is from the lost continent of Atlantis which makes him almost superhuman! But I know it's expected, after all he is the one known as NIGHTPUMPER!!

Maybe it's that people want drama in their lives and subconsciously create their own dramatic, challenging predicaments. I doubt that's what happened to Nightpumper because he's way more evolved than that!! No, his struggle is a result of a bad chain of events resulting in this unfortunate life threatening position that he finds himself in. A lesser man would certainly fold under this relentless hailstorm, but Nightpumper is made of stronger stuff, the right stuff!!

Oh Gawd!!, remember these flatfoots? The cops on the beat that have been watching as this whole drama with NP has been unfolding, all in the safety of their squad car! Let's call these guys "Sam and Dave" because we don't know their real names....not yet anyway!
